I was very pleased to meet West England By-Lines recently to talk about the work I plan to do as MP for Bicester, Kidlington and Woodstock and our villages. When you've got a few minutes, grab yourself a cuppa and watch the video above.
In it, I talk about how public services and a successful economy are not in tension with each other, but support each other. This failing government has overseen the neglect of both. It is only with a healthy, educated population that our economy can thrive.
Access to doctors and quality education comes up time and time again on the doorstep. And rightly so - after 14 years of Conservative rule, many residents feel they can no longer rely on them. From under-resourced GP surgeries to crowded classrooms, I know Britain can do better than this. And I believe the residents of Bicester, Kidlington, Woodstock and our villages deserve better. This is what drives me.
Since this interview yet another poll has been published, putting Labour well ahead. Change is possible! https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/fcgi-bin/calcwork23.py?seat=Bicester%20and%20Woodstock
